HR and payroll in one product, built for companies that pay people in more than one country.
Most HR teams we talk to run on at least three systems. One holds employee records. Another handles leave and attendance. Then there's a payroll tool that only works in one country, so the second country goes to a local provider, and a spreadsheet ties it all together every month. Ask a simple question like "how many people did we hire last quarter, and what did they cost?" and the answer takes a day.
NanoHRMS is our attempt to fix that. It's one product for core HR, attendance, leave, payroll, performance, learning and HR service, and it was built from day one for paying people in more than one country.
Why another HRMS?
Fair question. There are plenty of them.
The problem we kept hitting is how payroll software handles tax rules. In most systems, each country's rates, ceilings and thresholds are written into the code. When a government changes a number, you wait for the vendor to ship an update. If they don't cover your country at all, you're stuck.
We went a different way. In NanoHRMS, statutory values are settings, not code. Each one carries an effective date, so a rate that changes in April sits next to the one it replaces, and a March payroll run still uses the old figure. Your payroll team or your accountant can update a value themselves instead of waiting on us. And because every country is set up the same way, adding a second or a fifth one doesn't mean a new system.
What's in it
- People: employee records, org structure, documents, onboarding and exits.
- Time: attendance (biometric devices included), shifts and leave.
- Pay: payroll in multiple currencies, payslips, year-end tax forms in bulk, and GL journals you can send to QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or any other accounting system.
- Talent: performance, goals, learning, recognition and surveys.
- Service: an HR help desk and a knowledge base.
Employees get their own self-service space for payslips and leave requests, and it works on a phone. Managers see their team. HR sees what their role allows. It also connects to Slack, Microsoft Teams and WhatsApp.
The whole product runs in English, French and Arabic, with a proper right-to-left layout for Arabic.
Security you can check
We don't hold third-party security certifications yet, and we'd rather say so up front. What we can show you is in the code:
- Each customer's data is kept apart by PostgreSQL row-level security, so the separation is enforced by the database and doesn't depend on the application getting every query right.
- Audit events can only be added, never changed. Each one is chained to the one before it, and the database rejects any update or delete.
- Sensitive fields are encrypted with AES-256.
- Sign-in supports passkeys, single sign-on through OpenID Connect, and SCIM provisioning.
Our cloud or your servers
Every customer gets the same build. Most run on our cloud. Enterprise customers can run it on their own infrastructure instead, and it's the same product, not a cut-down copy. The AI features can also run against a model you host yourself, so that data never has to leave your network.
Where we are today
Early, to be honest. NanoHRMS is in early access, and accounts are opened by invitation while we work closely with a small group of companies. The prices on our site are indicative, and early customers agree pricing with us directly. Some things are still on the roadmap. SAML single sign-on is one of them.
What you get for joining early is a real say in what we build next.
If you pay people in more than one country and you're tired of stitching systems together, we'd like to hear from you. Request early access, tell us which countries you pay people in, and we'll set up an evaluation account configured for them.
